Homeless New Yorkers win support from Council Speaker Quinn for Groundbreaking housing legislation!
Picture the Homeless secures support for the historic Housing Not Warehousing legislation from NY City Council Speaker Christine Quinn in principle and she commits to assist in its passage once it is formally submitted. Join us at our next event, to be held on May 15th at 7pm at Taino Towers in El Barrio, with poetry and music by the Welfare Poets, a film screening of Palante' Siempre Palante' and sponsored by Picture the Homeless and the Schomburg Collective, for more details see www.picturethehomeless.org/blog.
